Description
This is a quick and easy red salsa recipe that is good for chips or to eat with other foods, we used it to top off some pork chops and it was great.
Ingredients
1 can (8oz) of tomato sauce
4 tomatos roma or vine
1/2 bundle of cilantro
1/4 medium onion (white or yellow)
2 to 3 jalapeƱos or serranos
Garlic Powder, Salt, Garlic Salt
Directions
There is little prep work, just wash all your vegetables well, making sure to remove any stems. You will want to remove the seeds from the peppers unless you want it to be hotter.
Thats pretty much all to do to prepare. Once cleaned, put all of your ingredients into a mixer and blend until it is well mixed. This is not a thick chunky salsa so let it blend in everything. Start off with 1/2 bunch of cilantro and taste to see if it needs more. I like to cut off the stems of the cilantro so your left with mainly the leafy part. You will need to add seasoning to taste as it can vary each time. Just remember that its always easier to add more. In general you almost can start with a full teaspoon of each and then add for taste.
