Description
This is a very moist cake. It is from an old family cook book.
Ingredients
1 cup sugar, 2eggs, 1cup raisins, 2cups flour, one half tsp. ground cloves, 2tsp.baking soda, one-half cup soft butter, 2 cups applesauce, one-half cup chopped walnuts, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1 tsp. vanilla.
Directions
Mix cake ing. well. Bake 350 for 30 min. Frosting: Melt one-fourth cup butter,and 3 Tablespoons milk, Add one-fourth cup brown sugar and 2 cups powdered sugar. cook for one minute and add 1 tsp. vanilla. Frost on cooled cake. Don't use margerine, use butter in this recipe. It makes all the difference. ENJOY! Deb Bailey
