Recipe by a local Asian supermarket
Ingredients
1 lb baby bok choy (could be of any kind: bok choy, green bean, broccoli, etc.)
½ small yellow onion or 4 spring onions
2 cloves of minced garlic 1 tsp of ground white/black pepper
1 tbsp vegetable oil 1 ½ tbsp oyster sauce
2 to 4 drops of sesame oil for flavor (optional) Mix ½ tbsp of Corn Starch with 1 tbsp of water
Directions
Peel off the layers of the bok choy and wash it very well. Cut it at an angle and set aside. Heat the wok until very hot; add in the oil then the garlic. Stir until the garlic is brown, then add in the onion and keep on stirring until the onion is cooked. Add in the vegetables, oyster sauce and pepper. Mix it well and when the vegetable is cooked, add in the cornstarch, and mix it well and remove from heat. Add a few drops of sesame oil (optional).
Optional: To add meat, stir-fry the meat first until done before adding the veggies and oyster sauce
