Description
This is our version (a little more simple) of the bowtie pasta dish that you can get at Johnny Carinos.
Ingredients
1 oz. Melted butter
1 tsb. Chopped garlic
1/8 cup Diced red onion
1/8 cup Diced Roma tomatoes
3 oz Sliced cooked chicken
1/8 cup Asiago cheese
1/2 tsp. Salt, pepper and garlic salt
10 oz. Precooked bowtie pasta
1 can (16 oz) Alfredo Sauce
1/2 lb bacon
Directions
First you will need to cook up the bacon, let it cool and crumble it into small bits. It is possible you could try replacing it with the real bacon bits you can buy in the store, but I have not tried this.
Then you will need to cook up the chicken and cut it into small chunks.
While you are cooking the chicken, get the bowtie pasta cooking. It might be best to start the water boiling when you finish with the bacon that way it will be ready. (Note: dont get rid of all your pasta water when you strain the noodles. Keep about 1 to 2 cups in a bowl for use later)
Once all the raw ingredients are cooked simply place the butter, garlic, onions, bacon, tomatoes, chicken and spices into a heated saute pan.
When the onions begin to turn translucent, add your can of Alfredo sauce and Asiago cheese. Depending on what brand you buy, you may want to thin out the sauce. Add some of your left over pasta water to thin out your sauce; you may not need to use all the extra water. It should not be a very thick and heavy sauce.
Let it cook for a couple minutes (3-4) and then add in the bowtie noodles and toss until it is well combined and remove from heat. Allow a couple minutes to cool so that the sauce and noodles can thicken up.

I ended up trying the "Real Bacon Bits" that you can find by the salad stuff at the store instead of cooking up bacon and crumbling it, although it does not taste quite as good, for the amount of time and effort it saves, it is well worth it.
