Spanish Branch Burritos (Beef)

By: Jason Bailey

Description

These are the burritos that were made during the Kellogg spanish branch fundraiser. I do not have quantities, because we did very large amounts, ie 40lbs of beef. Until then you will just have to use your previous cooking skills to give it an educated guess :)

Ingredients

Beef Roast
Onion
Garlic
Salt
Water

16" uncooked tortillas
Black Beans
White Rice (cooked)
Cheese (shredded)
Tomato (diced)
Lettuce (shredded)
Cilantro (chopped)

Directions

Get a pot of water boiling, there should be enough water so that when you place your beef in it, it will be covered. Make sure your pot is big enough that the water doesn't spill over. Add salt, chopped onion, garlic and meat into boiling water. Cook until tender, you can cut it to make sure it is cooked thoroughly or use a thermometer.

Strain the beef from the water, try to keep the onion. Let the beef cool for a while so that you can shred it by hand. Place the rest of the ingredients onto the tortilla to your liking and you are done.
