Honey Whole Wheat Bread

Sister Chandler's recipe! Delicious for sandwiches!

Ingredients

1.5 tsp Salt
2 tsp Yeast
3 Tbs (32g) Oil
2 Tbs (40g) Molasses
2 Tbs (40g) Honey
2 Tbs Gluten Flour
1/4 C. Potato Flakes

5 C. whole Wheat Flour
2 C. Hot Water

Directions

Combine Salt, Yeast, Oil, Molasses, Honey, Gluten Flour, Potato Flakes. Then add 2 1/2 C. Whole Wheat Flour with 2 C. Hot water. Mix until combined. Then add remaining 2.5 C. Flour.

Let rise in a greased bowl for 1 hr. or until it doubles in size

Shape dough into bread loaf pans. and let rise until it doubles in size. bake at 375 for at least 30 min or until temp reaches 180 degrees.

This makes about 1 1/2 one lb loaves which is challenging. We are going to try reducing it by 2/3's to make a single loaf. This should equate to about 3 1/3 c flour (400g) and 1 1/3 cup water.

With the reduced flour we also reduced the molasses to 1 Tbsp instead of 2. All other ingredient amounts stayed the same.
