Mushroom and Bacon Pasta

Description

This recipe serves approximately 4 people. It was found on the bottom of a Monterey mushrooms package.

Ingredients

12 ounce dried spaghetti
10 strips of bacon, cut into half-inch pieces
4 tablespoons olive oil
8 ounces approximately 2 and 1/2 cups sliced White or brown mushrooms
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Cook spaghetti according to the package directions. Meanwhile heat oil in frying pan over high heat; add bacon and cook, stirring often for one minute. Add mushrooms and cook, stir often, for four minutes. Add spaghetti and toss over low heat for one minute. Or until heated through. Remove from heat, add cheese, season with salt and pepper.

It is also really good if when you add the mushrooms you also add about the same amount of green beans. It adds a little color and makes it a more balanced dish.
