So I bought one of those things that peels slices and cores the apple at the same time and decided to make the apple sauce. It takes about 4 to 5 minutes to get everything into the pot ready to go. It was very easy. I did find that if I waited to add the sugar and the cinnamon until after I boiled it and mashed it up, it worked better. That way you don't have to use all the sugar unless you need to, you can do it to taste, although 1/4th cup is usually perfect. Thanks for the recipe! Its a great snack.

I got frustrated trying to make this the last couple times, the consistency never turned out very good. I finally realized that the type of apple is important. So far I have used Fuji Apples (bad) and Gala Apples (Good). The Fuji never get to a smooth texture while the Gala take a lot less time and work to get to a pretty smooth consistency.
