Creamed Chipped Beef over Toast

A St. Patrick's Day favorite

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. flour
4 c. milk
1/8 t. pepper
1/2 lb. chipped beef, frazzled in butter
3 tbsp. choppped parsley

Directions

Melt butter in saucepan. Add flour and stir to smooth paste. Add liquid gradually, stirring constantly. Continue cooking and stirring until mixture is thickened. Add seasonings and beef. Pour over buttered toast and serve.
