Gramma Mamie's Meatballs

My favorite meatloaf and spaghetti recipe, handed down through the generations. Amazing what you can do with a can of soup and some ketchup.

Ingredients

Meatballs:
1 lb. ground beef (or turkey)
6 saltine crackers
1 egg
2 T. milk
1/2 white onion, finely chopped
oregano, thyme, salt, pepper, garlic powder

Sauce:
1 can tomato soup
1/2 can water
6 T. ketchup
3 T. A1 steak sauce
3 T. 57 steak sauce

Directions

Mix meat ingredients together and sauce ingredients together. Pour about 1/4 cup of the sauce into the meat and combine.

Form meat into small balls and fry in skillet with oil until browned on all sides. Sprinkle with more of the spices while they are cooking.

When meat is browned, pour sauce over meatballs in large skillet and reduce heat. Cook until sauce starts to boil, and boil for about 3 minutes.

Pour over cooked spaghetti noodles with parmesan cheese.

Variation: I use this same recipe for meatloaf. Fantastic over baked potatoes and sour cream!!
