Jamaican Rice and Peas

Description

This recipe is easy and pretty darn good. It will be pretty spicy. You can substitute the habanero peppers for jalapenos to reduce the heat.

Ingredients

3 cups of rice
1 can kidney beans
5 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)
2 uncut habanero peppers
1 cup of coconut milk
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of black pepper
2 teaspoons of dried thyme

Directions

Add all ingredients into cooking pot with water. When water starts boiling, reduce heat and cook on a slow fire. When cooked, rice should be tender and all water absorbed.
