My Favorite Cupcakes, Light, Fluffy & Yummy!
Ingredients
1 Betty Crocker Angel Food Cake Mix
1 Box Dream Whip
1 pkg sliced almonds
Milk
1/4 Cup Sugar
1 Can Fluffy White Frosting
Directions
Preheat oven 357 degrees. Prepare cake mix as directed. Fill cupcake cups 3/4 full. Bake 12-16 minutes or until golden brown and cake surface is cracked. Remove from oven and let completely cool before frosting.
Prepare Dream Whip as directed. I use both envelopes. Gradually add the fluffy white frosting until it is the consistency you like. You don't have to add the frosting if you want an even lighter/less rich cupcake. Keep refrigerated until needed.
Prepare almonds using a non-stick skillet. On medium heat sprinkle almonds with sugar. Watch very closely not to burn and cook until almonds are carmelized, stirring constantly. this is the hardest part of the recipe. If you burn the almonds, they are ruined.
Frost the cupcakes and decorate with almonds. Thats it!
