Chicken wraps
Ingredients
1 ob. chicken or ground pork
2 T canola oil
4 green onions, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
8 dry shitake black mushroom, soaked in hot water for 30 minutes, removed the stem and finely chopped.
1 can 8oz water chestnuts, chopped
3 T soy sauce
3 T hoisin sauce
3 T sugar
fresh ground black paper
1 head of lettuce, washed and cut into large pieces.
cook puff rice noodles (optional)
Directions
Cook the ground chicken or pork in a wok until done and no longer pink. Remove from the wok and set aside for later use. Heat the wok until it's hot and add 2 T oil to it. Add the chopped green onion, garlic and mushroom to it, and stir-fry for about 3 minutes on medium heat. Place the cooked chicken, soy sauce, sugar and hoisin sauce into the green onion mixture. Stir fry and mix well, serve it right away on top of a rice noodle bed or lettuce or both
To serve, put some meat mixture on center of the lettuce, wrap it up and enjoy or serve with sauce. These make wonderful finger food or appetizers.
Sauce. 3 T soy sauce
3 T rice vinegar
1 t seasame oil
1/2 t Sambal garlic chili sauce or 1/2 t chili oil
