Ginger Snaps

Ingredients

Cream:
1 1/2 cups shortening(*use half crisco and half butter)
2 cups granulated sugar

Add:
1/2 cup light molasses
2 eggs
5-6 cups flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. clove
2 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

Cream shortening and sugar. Add molasses and egg. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Roll into small balls. Roll balls in sugar. Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Watch closely so they don't burn.
